Mrs. Estal Pearl Adkins, 72, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept 12, 1956) at 13 S. Virginia Avenue after an illness of two years. She formerly resided at 942 N. Jackson Street. Mrs. Adkins had resided in Danville most of her life. She was born Sept 1, 1884 in Eugene, Ind, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Truman. She married Ward F. Adkins Oct 1, 1900. He preceded her in death in 1954. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Greg Boullion of Niagra, Wis; Mrs. Albert Shumaker of DuQuoin, Ill and Claude Clayton Adkins of Pomona, Calif and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters and brother. The body is at Edmund & Dickson Funeral Home where services will be 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery near Lodi, Indiana.
